Notes on the Conquistador
Strong units in both defense and offense but very expensive and slow to build. They are a very fast defense, and also have some attack power BUT do not over estimate them. Their price can be devastating sometimes. Every loss is expensive, so use them carefully and only in numbers while in defense.
Also later in the game you will find out that they are almost useless in attack, but much more effective in defense. Their speed for a defense unit is their ace but, do not over depend on them, having 9 out of 10 villages with Conqs can be dreadful sometimes. If they break once, you're done, you don't have any offense to counterattack and it will also take a truly long time and lots of resources to rebuild them all again. So use them carefully and finally, never use them offensively as a first strike, only third and fourth because their losses aren't worth the goal sometimes. |
