Notes on the Farmer
An inexpensive defensive unit to build, research and replace. It's strength lies in numbers both grouped and loose. Cowboy players will have more farmers than any other unit. Their only weakness is their speed. It's hard to get enough farmers somewhere fast for effective wall building.
Tip: farmers have a unique ability to pull double duty in their hometown. While providing defense they also collect extra resources. Each Cowboy town should have a compliment of up to 200 loose farmers to aid with resource gathering. If you've got 5 towns close by you've got a quick 1000 farmers to add to a support wall when needed. Farmers are boring yes...but highly effective and only total n00bs under estimate their defensive power...at their peril! |
