Other notes:
All came with EGR systems
All came with Air meters (except ae92 GeoPrism GSI MAP)
The small port used a different air meter and had a knock sensor
the ae92 7 rib engines have a fully counterweighted crankshaft (heavyer/stronger/smoother)
3 rib engines have a partially counterweighted crankshaft (lighter/not as smooth)
Small port engines have a higher volume oil pump!
Pistons do not interchange without machine work!
As you have read Do Not refer to the 4A-GE as red top or blue top its
in accurate. There is a Large port engine that came in the Ae92 in 1988
and 1989 that had red lettering.
