 Soritatsu Kabe (Warped Wall)

The competitor must scale a concave quarter-pipe by running up and grabbing the top of the wall. From the 5th to the 17th tournaments, the wall was 5 meters (16 ft 4.85 in) high. In the 19th tournament, the height was raised to 5 meters and 20 centimeters (17ft). During the 13th competition, for contestants under the age of 13 and over the age of 50, as well as female contestants, a portion of the wall could be taken off of the top, making the wall about a foot shorter.
