Maruta Kudari (Log Descent) is the exact opposite of the Maruta Nobori (Log Climb). The obstacle consists of five rotating logs arranged like a staircase angled downward at 45°. The competitor must make it from a platform, across a water pit, and to a landing pad.

There was another obstacle of the same name Maruta Kudari (Rapid Descent) in Sasuke/Ninja Warrior #01 & #02 but it was a comprised of a single log that the competitor would descend from the Yureru Hashi (Balance Bridge). It was considered by TBS to be it's own obstacle in Sasuke/Ninja Warrior #01 but was considered an extension of Yureru Hashi (Balance Bridge) in Sasuke/Ninja Warrior #02.
