 Maruta Nobori (Log Climb)

The Maruta Nobori, referred to as the Barrel Climb on English broadcasts, was the first obstacle from SASUKE/Ninja Warrior #02 to #07. In the first competition, it was called the Taki Nobori (Waterfall Climb), which English broadcasts is called the Cataract Climb.
The obstacle consists of five rotating logs angled upwards at 45° like a staircase. The competitor must make it from the starting line across a small pit to the logs and climb to a platform.
